Ecco Bella is a cruelty-free beauty company and they are on PETA’s cruelty-free list. They make natural and organic makeup, skincare and hair care and most of them are vegan! Their FAQ page on their website is very detailed and they’ve made a statement about which products are not vegan. You can shop their vegan options at Eccobella.com and find out which stores in your area are carrying them.
Update December 28, 2018: This was posted before PETA sent out a controversial tweet on December 5, 2018 that does not reflect the views of theveganlifestyle.ca or my personal views. Since then, it appears PETA has not apologized to the groups that it offended or made any efforts to correct their statements. Going forward, PETA will not be used a resource for cruelty-free beauty. When a brand has a certification from PETA, I will instead reach out to the brand directly. I’ve made a PDF version of the list and the link to download it is at the bottom of this post. I like to save these vegan lists on my phone so that I can easily check it when I’m in stores. Just make sure you set it to be available while you’re offline so you don’t have to use data!
